At age 15, Anthony fired up his first torch at Mesa Arts Center in Arizona, instantly igniting a passion for glassblowing. With profits from the early marbles and pendants created in class, he purchased a torch, some tanks and a kiln, walled off a bay in his parents’ garage to build his first studio, and AZ Glassworks was born. Now an established functional glass artist based in Florida and selling to collectors worldwide, Anthony continues to train in classic Italian flameworking techniques to refine his craft and collaborates with some of today’s foremost glassblowers.
Addressing market demand for high-end, collectible functional glass tips, Anthony incorporates a combination of rare colors, sophisticated linework patterns, and unique multi-layer designs to combine bold and original styling with optimal airflow, filtration and flavor.
